Kevin Fox Kevin Fox / President Kevin has more than 22 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, strategic and business planning, and fundraising implementation. In 1998, Kevin started Fox Consulting in his belief that a more thoughtful approach to fundraising can provide nonprofits innovative and cost-effective ways to achieve long-term sustainability.

Kevin was introduced to philanthropy while working at The Minnesota Daily Newspaper at the University of Minnesota. In 1988, he launched The Daily Alumni Association, created their first annual fund, and developed and implemented the capital campaign for a new building.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Kevin’s started his career in philanthropy with the Jay & Rose Phillips Family Foundation. He worked closely with Jay Phillips and learned first hand from one of Minnesota’s greatest philanthropist what it means to give back to the community. The experience helped to shape Kevin’s fundraising philosophy and to this day continues to guide him in his work and his commitment to educating donors.

His most recent professional position was Director of Corporate and Annual Giving at the HealthEast Foundation. Previously, he managed the fundraising programs at the Hill Reference Library in St. Paul. His experience includes major gifts, event management, corporate fundraising, annual fundraising, direct mail/tele-fundraising, foundation grant writing and volunteer management.

Kevin enjoys spending time with his two children and with their encouragement has managed to master Rock Band, YouTube, and Facebook. In his free time enjoys the outdoors, and can be found year-round on lakes, open and frozen, fishing for walleyes.

Kevin believes there is no greater joy in life than giving—it’s when we’re at our best.
